Vance Chiropractic

After the second adjustment by Dr. Vance I felt there was hope of the pain going away. It didn’t take many more adjustments before the pain and stiffness were completely gone. I felt great.

To Whom It May Concern,

On Christmas Eve of last year, I was involved in a pretty serious car accident in which my automobile rolled over several times. In the following months, I began noticing that I was having frequent headaches and neck pain. Sometimes the pain would be so severe that I would not be able to go to work or school that day. This was not only an inconvenience physically, but also began affecting my grades and paychecks.

In March of this year, I met Dr. Adam Vance at the gym where I workout. Out of curiosity, I had Dr. Vance give me postural analysis. What he found out concerned and surprised me. Apparently the accident had done a lot more damage than I realized. After a thorough examination at Dr. Vance’s office, I immediately began treatment.

Now, only two moths later, I feel like a completely new person. I didn’t realize that I was living with such pain and discomfort until I started feeling better. Now, I wake up in the mornings feeling rested and ready to start the day instead of battling with a headache or neck and back pain. I am very grateful to Dr. Vance for helping me feel better. Life has to be lived to it’s fullest, which can be hard to do when your in pain!

Sincerely,

Kandis, Grateful Patient

I had experienced stiffness and pain my neck which wouldn’t go away. I had been to the Chiropractor I was using at that time on numerous occasions and hadn’t received much relief. I got to the point where I felt it was useless to continue with the adjustments.

I met Dr. Vance in a grocery store where he was conducting a Chiropractic evaluation clinic. He indicated that my spine was out of alignment both side-to-side and front-to-back. Because I was still having problems with my neck. I decided that I would go to visit with Dr. Vance at his office to determine if he might be able to solve the problem. After the second adjustment by Dr. Vance I felt there was hope of the pain going away. It didn’t take many more adjustments before the pain and stiffness were completely gone. I felt great.

I found out through X-Ray and an MRI that I had a Bulged Disk and other problems in my lower back. I was informed that I would probably have to have surgery. I knew that I didn’t want that, so I suggested to the doctors that I be allowed to go to Dr. Vance to see what he could do. They agreed and I visited with Dr. Vance and reviewed with him the MRI reports. He felt that he would be able to help and that I shouldn’t have to be operated on. Chiropractic adjustments were started and after 2 or 3 adjustments, I started to feel somewhat better. It took about 1½ months before I felt like I was back to somewhere near normal. I credit Dr. Vance with helping me get better and appreciate his encouragement and advice.

Since I was 12 years old, I have been to 6 or 7 different Chiropractors at various times to get relief from back problems. Without a doubt, Dr. Vance is the best. He is gentle in the ways he adjusts and is very concerned about long-term health. He provides suggestions to help maintain good health and teaches various exercises to aid in muscle strength.

Letter of Recommendation [for] Dr. Adam Vance

I was experiencing severe pain in my lower back. I went to Dr. Vance and he immediately helped, within two to three visits my pain was gone. I left on a trip driving to Colorado about a week after my visits with him. By stopping at rest stops and doing the exercises he suggested my back didn’t hurt at all during the entire trip.

It is like getting a new life getting away from that constant nagging pain. Back pain seems to be the worst of all and once you feel relief from it you want to always have that relief. By taking care of yourself, exercising and regular chiropractic visits I think you can always be pain free.

Dr. Vance discovered the cause of another problem I have had for years. I had pain on my lower right side, sometimes it would get very bad. In May, 2000 I began having the pain on my right side worse than it had ever been. I thought it was my appendix or something like that. I went to several doctors, including a surgeon to try to figure out what was causing the pain. It was very bad. No one could tell me what the pain was. They sent me for all the horrible and expensive tests including a CT Scan. I was charged about $3,000 but none of the doctors could give me any answers or any relief. The pain went away after about three months.

The first day Dr. Vance examined me we were going through some reflex tests when he asked if I ever experienced pain in my right side exactly where the severe pain had been a few months before. I was so shocked!! I said yes as a matter of fact I have. During the reflex test my right leg did not respond the way it should. He said I must have experienced some trauma to the muscle by the hip joint. He told me to think of any accident or injury I had to cause it. Later that day I remembered an accident where that muscle could have been strained and stretched severely about twenty years before. He helped with that situation also, that pain has never returned.

I hadn’t been able to lift my right leg up very high for a long time. I would have to lift it with my hands sometimes. After Dr. Vance finished I was able to lift my right leg higher again. It was so amazing!

Anyone thinking about giving Dr. Vance the opportunity to make you feel better should not procrastinate another minute. He is great. You will never be sorry, only happy and relieved to be rid of the pain.

For about 7 to 8 years now, I have been suffering from the most excruciating migraines. The amount of migraines I usually had within a weeks time was 2 to 3. They usually lasted for more than 24 hours, they always started at the base of my head where I had constant knots that hurt all the time. I would experience nausea, blurred vision, sensitivity to light, sound and smells. I would also see what I call floaties or little spots flying around. I had tried almost every migraine medicine there is, and had to keep switching because I would become immune to them so quickly. Between migraines I experienced constant dull headaches. What I wanted to do was to find a natural method without drugs. These migraines have kept me from having the quality of life that I have desired for so long.

I knew that a good chiropractor would be able to help me at least alleviate the pain that I was feeling. That is when I finally was referred from a friend to come see Dr. Vance.

I have been seeing Dr. Vance since May 28th. Since then I have only had one migraine. And a couple of headaches. I have never felt so good in my life and I look forward to feeling better to the point that I won’t have migraines or headaches anymore. The great thing about it is, that my original reason for going in was for migraines. But in addition to decreasing them, my constant backaches are gone, my muscles don’t ache, I sleep better at night and I have more energy than I have ever had in my life.

Over a year ago, after a lengthy viral illness, I developed a case of severe vertigo. Vertigo is a feeling of dizziness or spinning, often associated with a lack of balance and distortion of depth perception to objects around you.

My vertigo was sudden, severe and unrelenting for over a year. It interfered with my work, driving and simple everyday activities. There were times that I would simply fall over while trying to cross a room. More often than not, I needed others to drive me back and forth from work due to my inability to judge depth and speed.

During this last year I have been to an ENT who tested for Meniere’s Disease which is an inner ear disturbance associated with vertigo. Tests found nothing unusual.

I was then sent to a Neurologist who did a CAT Scan and an MRI, also finding nothing. We ran a battery of blood tests looking for many different diseases. Again, nothing unusual was found. My Neurologist then said we needed to rule out Multiple Sclerosis so I endured a Spinal Tap. Again, tests showed nothing unusual.

As far as the medical profession was concerned I was healthy, and the alternative offered me was Physical Therapy to learn ways of coping with my symptoms.

I then went on line to look up other potential treatments for vertigo. I found a study of a Doctor in Colorado working with vertigo patients through Chiropractic therapy.

At this point I was desperate for a solution, and though I was skeptical that Chiropractic treatment could in any way relieve my intense symptoms, I decided to give it a try.

After only five visits to Dr. Adam Vance, the vertigo that had been so debilitating was now almost undetectable. I was simply amazed. I had reached a point of no hope for relief and now feel as I have discovered a whole new world of medical answers.

In addition to my vertigo being relieved I have experienced a tremendous increase in my energy level and an all around feeling of well being. I am so grateful to have found a treatment that is not invasive, does not involve daily medications, and it works!

Re: Dr. Adam Vance Testimonial

My daughter (5 years old) had been complaining of a stomach ache for about 3 weeks. I took her to the doctor and found out that she had an unusual amount of abdominal gas. Our family doctor ordered a series of tests and could not figure out what the problem was. We were then referred to a specialist at Primary Children’s Medical and they did another series of tests and come to the conclusion that she was constipated, and that she had been that way for a long time. They said she has a sluggish colon. She wasn’t’t completely blocked. She would have a bowel movement once every 2-3 days. They then put her on a strong laxative and stool softeners for a couple days and it didn’t do what we had hoped. Those did help get things going, but even with the stool softeners she was only going once every 24-36 hours, still not normal.

A friend of mine suggested that I talk to Adam about it. At the time I was unsure how a chiropractic adjustment would help severe constipation, but at I was willing to trying anything get her “going” again. I then asked Adam about it and he suggested I bring her in. At the appointment he explained to me how all the nerves in our body go thru the spinal column and if a spot on our spine is not right, the nerves that run thru that spot aren’t going to act right either. [My daughter] was adjusted at 4:00 pm and that night she had 2 bowel movements and 1 again the next morning! She has been back for another adjustment and another one is scheduled for alter this week and she is now having a bowel movement twice a day! Yeah!!

I hate to think what other tests and how much more poking she would have had to endure to get things right.

I really appreciate Adam and his willingness to see [my daughter]. Because of this whole ordeal, all the other doctors gave her shots and took blood, so needless to say, she was very nervous to be at yet another doctor. He is so good with her and makes her laugh and relax. She loves to go see him and loves to lay down on his “rolly bed”!

Thank you Adam for your expertise and your concern for [my daughter]!

Rebecca and [her daughter]

This letter is in regards to care my family has received in the past three years, and will continue to receive at Vance Chiropractic.

My husband and I and also our four children, all have been treated by Dr. Vance with great results. My youngest daughter was in a great deal of pain, complaining that her “ear was poking her.” She had a fever and was completely miserable. I knew she had an ear infection, however, my pediatrician was not available that day. I then remembered Dr. Vance explaining to me that chiropractic also helped ear infections (when the neck is out of alignment or a subluxation exists this can affect the tubes in the ear, not allowing them to drain properly. I had Dr. Vance adjust her and within a half an hour she was comfortable and napping.

When she woke up from her nap, her fever had broken and she never complained of pain again. A few days later I was at the pediatrician’s office for a check up with another child. I explained to him what had happened and he had to take a peek at Erin’s ear. He was astonished. He could tell the ear had been infected and said “the ear looked as if it were in the middle of a course of antibiotic treatment and was healing.”

Dr. Vance has also helped my other children whenever they have a cold and/or their ears bothered them, especially my oldest who was on the High School Swim Team for the past four years and we dealt with “swimmers ear.” Thanks to Dr. Vance and his care we have been able to have the pain relieved and avoid the use of antibiotics.

We are extremely grateful for our association with Dr. Vance and will continue to seek his care in behalf of our total well being.

Sincerely,

Liz Palmer

To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to add my witness to the many that have benefited from Chiropractic care. I believe very strongly that for many people Chiropractic care is just what they need for improved health and personal well-being. I have been concerned about my back for many years. I have had pain in all parts of the spine on and off for some time. Then the pain began to go away for the most part but I feel that was just because my body was getting used to having a spine that was not perfectly strait. Then I went on a two-year mission to Russia for my church. During that time I seemed to have developed an irritable bowel problem. I went to my doctor when I got home and despite a lot of tests and studies, they finally said that they could not help me. The condition seemed to stem from high anxiety, stress, or nerves. They gave me some medicine that helped some but was overall ineffective. They told me to watch my diet and find out what foods seemed to cause the most irritation. But that was all they said they could do for me.

Weeks later, I was at the gym and saw a free spinal checkup being offered by Dr. Adam Vance. After talking to him and seeing him at his office, we decided to try some chiropractic treatment. From that time on, my irritable bowel problem has almost completely gone away. I have more confidence in myself and feel fantastic physically. This has affected my entire attitude toward life and relationships. My physical and mental well-being had been improved ten fold and I believe that for many people, chiropractic care can be a cure for all sorts of physical and mental problems.

Sincerely,

Craig

I met Dr. Vance at a health fair where I work. He was doing posture testing and I was curious. I was rather surprised when he noticed my carpal tunnel brace and started asking questions. We talked for a while about it and he thought chiropractic care could help the symptoms I was having with my wrist. I was surprised at first, but as we talked about it, it made sense.

I went in for my consultation and we talked in depth about what I wanted and how we could work together to affect the outcome of my care. When we got the x-rays back and reviewed those, I was even more shocked. I couldn’t believe how skewed my neck and spine looked. When I looked at those x-rays I no longer wondered why I was in pain.

We started treatment immediately. After 4 visits, I was no longer wearing my wrist brace. I couldn’t believe the difference it had made. I could feel myself walking more straight. And for the first time, I realized how crooked I had been walking. As I continue care, I feel better and better each day. I have quit taking daily pain relievers for headaches and can’t believe the difference this had made in my life.

I was playing football, it was during two-a-days when I first hurt my hip. We were scrimmaging at the end of practice like we always do. We ran a passing play; the receivers were not open, so I decided to scramble. I was running around the right side of the line when a cornerback came up to tackle me. I tried to put a move on him, but he grabbed my ankle. So I was stuck there when our outside linebacker came from the side, and put his facemask into my hip. I landed on my side in a very awkward position, and then I heard something pop. I got up but my left hip joint was throbbing in pain. I sat out the rest of the practice.

When my mom came to pick me up I couldn’t get into the car. It hurt to bad to move my leg up, by itself. So I had to pick my leg up with my hands and manually move it. Icing my hip seemed to help a little bit, but not that much. For three months I couldn’t move my leg laterally. I never went to the chiropractor because I never had time. So when my season ended back in October my mom finally made me an appointment. I went into Adam’s office; he asked me a few questions. Then we went into one of the side rooms. He had me lay on my side; he proceeded to put his body weight on me. Next thing I know I was fixed. And that is why Adam is a miracle worker.
